Now using its second generation of IES low-noise dimmers, this theatre has recently upgraded its complement of IES Executive IGBT low-noise reverse-phase dimmers to the latest Matrix sine wave system offering completely silent operation.
The changeover was completed in less than two days as the Matrix dimmers and Executive dimmers share the 19” cabinet standard and density.
The immediate reduction in harmonic currents was obvious from the lack of heat generated by the mains input transformer in the basement.
